Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes!

It’s time to kick off your flip-flops and set sail for the FSFOA June 2026 Conference. We are dropping anchor once again at the Margaritaville Resort Orlando in Kissimmee, FL, from June 15-18, 2026. Registration deadline for both the conference and hotel is May 25, 2026. Hotel registration: FSFOA 2026 Summer Conference. If you would like to take advantage of the H2O Waterpark offer, there will be an additional $20.00 resort fee. Please alert the hotel upon check-in.

This year’s theme is "Sailing Into the Future of School Finance." Whether you’re a seasoned "son of a sailor" or a first-time cruiser, this is your premier destination to gain high-level insights from industry experts and build lasting professional connections with finance leaders from across the state. We highly encourage you to bring your families along, after all, it’s five o'clock somewhere!

Our Voyage Itinerary

Monday: Setting the Course We begin our journey with General Sessions on GASB Updates and Gov't Fraud, Waste & Abuse. In the afternoon, we’ll split into specialized breakouts for Budget, Treasury, Accounting, and Negotiations before gathering for our Welcome Reception. Join us for refreshments and hors d'oeuvres; it’s the perfect way to kick off our week together!

Tuesday: Catching the Wind Tuesday is dedicated to capitalizing on the latest industry trends. We’ll kick off with a warm welcome from Dr. Rick Surrency, Superintendent of Putnam County Schools, followed by updates from the FLDOE and a special guest speaker. Throughout the day, navigate your way to our sponsor partners to discover the latest "treasures" innovative products and services designed to create efficiencies in your district. Afternoon sessions will dive deep into Grants, Cost Reports, Distributions to Charter Schools, and interactive round table discussions.

Wednesday: Full Sail Ahead We move into deeper waters as we focus on navigating tomorrow's opportunities. We’ll tackle the Legislative Update, our FSFOA Business Meeting, and cutting-edge sessions on AI in Finance and AI Policy to Practice in K-12. Afternoon breakouts include Capital, Employee Relations, and additional Legislative topics. We will cap off the night with our Conference Banquet—a time to celebrate our collective successes with great food, dancing, and some friendly competition.

Thursday: Reaching the Shore We’ll finish our journey strong with Finance Council updates, a comprehensive Economic Update, and essential insights from the Auditor General.
