Welcome to the FASBO/FSFOA Joint November 2019 Conference. 

UPDATE  As of 10/31/2019, we have sold all booth space for the exhibit area.  We still welcome you to register for the conference, but please know that booth space will not be available.  You will be able to mingle in the exhibit area and join us at all conference events.  Your company name will also be included in conference materials.  If you have questions, please contact us via one of the email links below.

The Directors of FSFOA and FASBO have come together to plan a joint conference this year. It will be an opportunity to learn from experts and build relationships with school finance and business staff throughout the state as well as you, our business partners. We are excited to work together to provide great learning opportunities for all conference attendees.

The conference will be held November 12 – 15, 2019 at the DoubleTree by Hilton near the entrance to Universal Orlando. The room rates start at $129 per night. Parking is discounted to $5 per day. Reservations should be made by October 22nd using this link Hotel Reservations. We are currently working on the agenda to create great learning opportunities for all attendees.  

Our theme for the November conference is “Power of Connection”. This is in recognition of Universal Studios Marvel Comics superheroes that help those in need. It also pays tribute to the superheroes you are when helping our districts to succeed. The roles we play are so intertwined and our connections are vital to everyday successes in our districts. Each year we seem to face new and sometimes frightening challenges. To conquer these challenges, we need each other and our “Power of Connection”.  The theme will also carry through to a costume contest during the banquet Wednesday evening – feel free to dress as your favorite superhero. You can also carry the superhero theme to your booth and our members will choose their favorite – to be announced during the banquet.

Before or during the conference you can download the conference app, which will provide the agenda, your customizable schedule and the most up-to-date information about the conference, including speaker bios and maps. For those of you who prefer paper, a printable version of the agenda will be available for you to print from your office.

Conference registration is $1,500.  The registration covers two of your team members, booth (pipe and drape) with 2 chairs, group breakfast, Welcome Reception on Tuesday, Wednesday Lunch, Wednesday evening event, and admission to all of our meetings.  For those companies bringing more than two team members, additional per person registration will be $125. All registrations will be completed online this year, just look for the blue Register Now button.  We would like to have all the registrations completed by October 22, 2019 for planning purposes. Additional fees will be assessed for payments made during the conference.

If you would like to help us sponsor or co-sponsor any of our activities, we have a lot of opportunities.  This includes: Breakfast, Snack Bags, Welcome Reception, Wednesday Lunch, Wednesday night Reception and Dinner, or Entertainment.   Let's get creative!  If you have questions regarding the conference and sponsorship opportunities, please contact us at [email protected]

As in the past, there will be a welcome reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres on Tuesday evening. This year, we will host a lunch in the Exhibit Hall on Wednesday and a Banquet Wednesday evening. We encourage you to join us for all three events.

For any sponsor that plans to offer a door prize, we will provide 2-part tickets that you can give to attendees as they interact with you. You can then draw from those tickets and announce the winner(s) during the banquet Wednesday evening.

Address for Conference Materials: If you are sending items to the hotel for the conference, please address as shown below. You will also be contacted by Alliance, one of our partners for this conference, and they can also arrange for your materials to be delivered.

Please note the following important dates and times.

  • October 22, 2019 - Last day to reserve hotel nights at the contracted rate of $129 per night

  • Tuesday, November 12, 2019 9:00am- The doors will open for set-up in the EXPO hall at 9:00am.   We'll have the booths (pipe and drape) marked with your company name and if you send booth/table items to the hotel, and the hotel has the items, we'll deliver the items to your table. If you have any questions, concerns, etc.  Please look for the "Wonderful and Amazing" Michael Yanosik, Gretchen Saunders or Robin Hukill and we'll help.

  • Tuesday, November 12, 2019 5:30pm – 6:30pm – Our welcome reception will be held from 5:30-6:30 P.M.

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2019 9:00am – 10:00am– We will be honoring you and your company at the Sponsor Recognition session.   Please join us at this time to introduce yourself. Our group enjoys seeing you on stage and saying Thank You every chance we can so have those smiles camera ready!

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2019 Noon – 1:45 – Lunch served in the EXPO center.

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2019 5:30 – 6:30 – Reception in EXPO Center

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2019 6:30 - Dinner & Entertainment in EXPO Center. Superhero Costume Contest. Door Prizes and Best Vendor Booth Prize will be awarded.

  • Thursday, November 14, 2019 9:30am– Deadline to remove any materials from the sponsor area. Booth/table take down will be any time you need to leave but no later than Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 9am.  Our conference will continue until noon on Friday and you are welcome to attend sessions and network with our attendees, but the EXPO hall will be closed.

Other Sponsorship Opportunities - This is a blank field where you can indicate other sponsorships such as an afternoon break, breakfast, etc.

Payment Options – payment by credit card is preferred, but we also accept checks. 
If you need to split your payment over more than one credit card, please complete the registration process but indicate payment will be made by check. Then do a second registration providing your company name and contact information, but choose to purchase only Other Sponsorship Opportunities at the bottom of the page. You can indicate the amount you would like to apply to credit card #1 and make that payment.  You can complete this process again with the amount to be paid on credit card #2.
