The FSFOA June 2019 Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Hotel in Jacksonville, FL.   The conference theme is “Bridging the Gap” in recognition of the city’s iconic Main Street Bridge. Construction of the Main Street Bridge began in 1938 at a cost of $1.5 million by the Mount Vernon Bridge Company. The official name of the bridge, John T. Alsop Jr. Bridge, and was dedicated in 1957 to former mayor of Jacksonville John T. Alsop.

The conference will begin on Tuesday, June 18th and conclude on Friday, June 21st.   Please take a look at the agenda and notice the schedule has been changed quite a bit.  We are excited to have Vera Jones as our keynote speaker. She is a motivational speaker, author and award-winning television and radio broadcaster.   In addition to our keynote speaker, staff from the Auditor General's office will join us on Wednesday morning.  Thursday morning will include a presentation from the Department of Education as well as an economic update.  We are working on sessions featuring EDR (Office of Economic & Demographic Development), state legislative staff talking about the state budget development process, and a legislative update from FADSS. We also have terrific mini-sessions lined up for the afternoons. It looks like a great lineup for you!

The room rate for the conference is $133 per night with complimentary parking.  Please make sure to register for the conference and reserve a room at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront .
